What model vitara diffs bolt into a 1.3 5 speed wide track as i have fiited 31 /11.50r15 maxxis mudzillas and a bit high geared

Suzyted, it's not actually Vitara diffs that you bolt into the Sierra diff, it's the crown wheel and pinion out of the diff centre that you use. You know like eating a prawn, most people just peel the prawn and eat the meat (the exception to this theory is Bentzook, he eats the shell and the head). The 1.6 Vitara/X90 has a couple of different ratios that have been used in Sierras over the years. The most common is the 5.125:1 ratio.
Have you considered a change in transfer gearing as opposed to wanting to do it in the diffs. In most cases changing the transfer ratio is far more beneficial than changing the diff ratios.
If it is a dollar issue as to why you are considering the diff ratios, I would still suggest you consider the transfer for ratio change.

I agree with Podge, try to pick up a set of gears as they will be more suitable in the long run.
Once you put 5.12's (or the like) in, you lose speed and will find that without having a lower gearset, won't be as suitable for slower terrain.
The gearset I have in Grumpy doesn't touch my high range at all but it was the 5.12 centres that kept it slow on the street.

Two front centres out of a 1.6 manual is what you need. You CAN bolt one straight into the front housing, Ive heard that the centre is weak as its alloy but I ran it this way with the side gears welded and it held up (cant say the same for the cvs tho).
For the rear you can use the vit centre with sierra side gears in the hemisphere OR put the vit ring and pinion into the sierra centre. This is stronger as the alloy of the vit housing could cause problems in the rear.
But the guys are right about the on road gearing it will suffer badly, I had 4.6 gears with series 1 and 32s and it does 4000 at 90ish.
If your staying with 31s go for a series 1 rock hopper it wont cost much more than 2 diff centers and will be more road friendly.
