overheating prob

just reasantly drivng with my air con on in my lux and the temp gauge went straight to red and she boiled over anyway i let it cool and topped it back up again and ever since then it seems to run hot all the time just wondering if i have damged the thermostat in any way?

my mates lux used to cook all the time turned out to be the viscous fan wasnt driving properly might be worth a look ?

i had a mate with a highly modded lux has a 2l celica motor in it and same prob was the fan, heard of a lot of motors havving problems with there fans, wpuld be the first thing i would check hope it helps.

buy a new water pump, most likely less than $100
I just replaced mine on my chev &
it was a winner
