Does anyone have any pics of a good quality wheel carrier designed for post 97 XJ's?
I'm after something which doesn't affect departure angle, but can carry a spare okay over a corugated road. I know the Kaymar rear bar/carrier isn't available for the post 97's (pity, 'cause it would've been ideal).
Not looking to carry a 44" bogger or anything silly, just a run-of-the-mill 31" tyre. Not interested in roof mounting the spare.

I know of a few post 97 XJ's running a Kaymar. It can be fitted with modifications i believe. Wait a while and an XJ driver will turn up and have something to say.

I have one I built on the rear of my XJ. The bumper was set back with just enough space to let a swing out be added. That is a 38/12.5/15 tire on the rear & I have only touched the earth with it once.

We've planning on having our full version of the XJ carrier up and running by around Febuary, hopefully in time for the Wandin 4x4 show.
We built one for Jimmy B on his red XJ that competed up in QLD not long ago.

After you finalise your production version, will you be displaying pics of it on your website?

Definately, we already have rails/side steps up for the XJ's and the carriers will be added as soon as they are ready.

Don't know if you are still looking for a rear tyre carrier the one that I have on a 2001 XJ is made by Formula Offroad Phone 02 98332333 dont know where they are located
They are made up as a Hayman Reece Tow Bar an have the same fixing points as the tow bars and are very solid
In the pic the tyre is off centre I modified the carrier to give me more clearance for the Tregg hitch on my camper normally the tyre would sit in the centre
OK Just did a google here is there web sitehttp://
