No, I have looked into that myself and the windscreens from year 98 are slightly larger than those of earlier models... so your 82 will be too small, as far as I know!

98s also have a slight curve in them and 82s are flat i think

$225 is a reasonable price for fitted... you probably wouldn't want to do it yourself. Make sure they seal it up good with black goo! Its the best for keeping water out

yours is a coily yes??
this glass is VERY different to a leafy sierra. Yours is encapsulated glass that is held in with urethane. it takes a bit more work to get a broken one out and refit. You also have to know what you are doing to ensure that it doesn't leak.
A leafy sierra ( pre 97) has a rope in glass, and any monkey can put one in in about 5 mins.
So your price of $225 is quite reasonable.
For a leafy it would be about double what I would pay.

Interesting gutless. Thanks
I have a 85 drover and got a new one fitted and it was a ropey one. I also have bought a WT and this this had a broken windscreen, Taking it out was a mission as it was bonded in with the black gluey stuff.
This being so, i could change my NT windcreen into the WT ok? both 1.3';s
cheers

1 litre, NT and WT are completely interchangable. the only difference in the glass is the tints that were used over the different year models, however this is irrelevant, as the new glass will most likely be clean ( no tint)
Coily's are the only sierras with a unique windscreen.
