What is the highest CFM electric fan I pull from the wreakers?

And if possible what the CFM and amp draw is.

I run EL Falcon thermos. Pair of fans in their own shroud. Seperate relays and a Davies Craig switch. Will post more stats.

They have no trouble pulling the heat out of my car, and I have a mate who runs them in a 600+ hp XY.

They're probably the same as above, but I think a vast majority of people with high power custom applications go for Falcon AU twin thermo's.....

Yep, basicaly the same deal. EL/AU are single speed (on/off) whereas the EF fans are twin speed (on/half speed/off). More wiring work but other than that they're the same size. Can buy factory Ford or a few companies make copies. Priced from around 200 up brand new.

I run three relays so that I run one fan whenever the aircon is on to keep airflow going through the condenser. Your aircon is stopping to pull the roof off? Only need two relays, some wiring, fuses and holders and the davies craig switch.

Should be plenty of info around the fordforums mentioned above etc.

I think it's more of a case of, if they'll fit your radiator (and it is adequate itself) it'll keep it cool. They certainly wouldn't be the weakest link in any cooling system.

For arguements sake, I run a single ICE 16" thermo on my standard radiator and it keeps my V8 cool. You only have to read what they reckon the difference is......

I like this blokes thoughts:

The twin AU's will suck your radiator off it's mounts if its not secured properly.

Has anyone got measurements for the AU fan assmebly (including depth)?

if these fans are from the vehicle in askmwc's avitar then they must work well cus u can hear these vehicles coming cus the fan is so loude

I have done a lot of searches but i cant find the CFM rating, they do however have great reviews.

Can these AU fans be reversed on the shaft and motor polarity swaped to make them pusher fans?

I doubt it would work. The main advantage behind the AU Thermo's is the design of the shroud around it.

If you wanted them to push, the shroud will become a resistance when on the outside of the radiator. I think for a pusher you'd be better off with a 16" thermo like mine with no shroud..........

dose the single 16 keep your v8 cool nemises?
Im putting a 7MGE in my lux (have to use pushers as no room for pullers) and want a reliable cooling system?

Yeah mate, suprisingly. I'm running the standard V6 Toyota radiator that was in the 4Runner, I just got it serviced and got the in and outlets changed.

Originally I ran the 16" as a pusher as I thought I didn't have room for it inside. It worked a treat.....

Now, I just managed to squeeze it in on the inside as a puller, and put my A/C condensor back on the outside. I picked it up today after getting the A/C hooked up (was in the 30's easy temp wise) and first reporst show it to be spot on. Did a variety of driving with the A/C on, and the temp stayed nice and still.....
