swaping tail shaft around...

hey any 1 done a 6" lift and swaped there tail shaft around so that the skinny end is into the gear box? is this required so your tailshaft dosnt hit the chassis suport

Yep, you need to do it unless you want to notch your crossmember heavily.

ok so you unbolt the 4 bolts at the diff and the 4 at the drum and flip it over correct?

Yep, the driveshaft should not separate due to the design of the dust seal on the spline, but be careful anyway (might be an aftermarket spline) that the shaft does not come apart at the spline.

Mabe pump some grease in the uni`s while your at it

just mark where it joins with something like liquid paper so if it does come apart you can reasemble it without having to get it rebalanced

make sure you chock the wheels first as you will loose your hand brake when the tail shaft drops
