What year do you need, I have a barrier from an 99 in my 03.
I had to modify the mounting brackets, I used existing mounting locations that the 03 barrier would use and did not have to drill/tap install rivnuts etc.

Do you have the entire fitting kit? if so it should contain detailed instructions.

If you dont have the fitting kit you can buy them from milford.
Alternatively I expect milford would send you the fitting instructions.

Got all the bolts etc. It is a 99 GU, the cargo barrier is to suit. So should the mounting points just bolt straight in. I assume the top mounts must bolt into the grad handles in the roof or something?

Thanks for the help, this is going to make it easy!

Cheers,

I fitted a Milford to my 02 GU a few months back. Not that easy, but then again not exactly hard either. More time consuming really.

Anyway, if fitted correctly the barrier has all its own mounting brackets, etc to be fitted to the car. That is, it does NOT use any of the factory holes such as grab handles. But this was for a 02 GU, and the barrier was a new Milford purchased 05 - so it may have changed since the 99 you have.

In short, each of the mounting brackets bolted into a steel plate that is fitted inside a 19mm (from memory) hole drilled in each location. The steel plate is secured by two smaller bolts on the outside of the centre hole, and in reallity it is the plate pulling against the steel of the body that gives it the strength.

I have the instructions still if you would like them faxed to you? But as I said above, they may not be the same from 99 to 05 although the car is the same.

So the patrol u have to drill a 19mm hole as well to mount the barrier?

I have one for the zook, full custom on i got v/cheap. i have not modded the mounts to take up the seatbelt mount and another fixed mount in the roof section. i did not like drilling a hole in the panel that size.
