Well my Sierra has reached 200,000km and i am going to do all the fluids for the engine, gearbox, transfer and diffs as well as a full coolant flush and fresh brake fluid..
What i would like to know is should i do the disk brakes (i have great stopping power) and what brakes ppl recomend.

Although i should be doing timing belt i am holding off as i'm very near the Cultus engine rebuild (just need a vitara exhaust and rightangle kit ,date moved back to 201000), if the belt does go am i right in that it won't do damage to the stock head? i'm mainly concerned in not damaging the bottom end but i would like to sell the top after the conversion has been done.

Pretty sure if the timing belt goes your piston will come up and hit your valves bending them. not entirly sure though.

I'm pritty sure thats incorrect :D

Nothing happens if the belt lets go, had the little pin that holds the tensioner thingy in place break off and let my belt go slack the other day, worried the heck outta me as it was only a 5 day old engine from rebuild

Yep zook motors are failsafe!

and i striped a timing belt yesterday on its first drive on lux diffs!
so yeah fail safe they are!

santos, as long as you are running a standard engine eg, g13ba or a, they are a non interference engine, meaning that the piston at TDC and the valves right down, they cant touch, meaning nothing will happen if it breaks.
