i dunno what this braket is for

hey all. i bought a set of adjustable panhards the other day and fitted them today,it all went good but i have this L shaped braket with 2 u bolts going through it. i am under the impression that its a steering dampner braket,but mine is fitted to the tie rod,whats the go? if some one could clarify it for me it would be great thank you.

Yep. Steering dampener.
Some models are set up that way, like my diesel.

88 and some 89 go from chassis to draglink like yours, newer ones go from drag to panhard which is the only way to do it with lift as it causes bump steer otherwise

The Panhard to drag link came in on 1990 models., cause mine had that setup.

When my 6" lift goes in, i am going to run a RTC damper

Bump steer. What is that?

My setup is the same as muddymav so should i change mine?

Ever hit bumps and the wheels jerks around a bit or you find your car changes course..

A good road in newy to test your car on is Turton road ? in between BroadMeadow and the BP service station there is a lot of big bumps for whatever reason. Have a feel of what your steering wheel does... that is bump steer...

I have the same setup too. Also got the L shaped bracket going to use it when I replace my drag like with a bigger adjustable snake racing one.
