body lift q's

Post by Turbo Tonka »

hi, thinking its time to do a bodylift on my 94 d/c lux. i used solid alloy on my last lux,84 model. would that be my best bet again or is there other options. the bible has a few ideas, but not much help. ALSO i didnt have to mod anything on my last lux, would my new one be the same or not??? would be great for some feedback.thanx

i saw some heavy duty nylon sorta stuff here for $13.30 for 100mm??????

You only want to go 2"?

If so then yeh not alot to worry about, just remember to undo you steering shaft bolts so it can slide freely whilst you jack up the body. Also look at modding the bumper or bullbar coz it will look a touch silly if you dont match it back to the body.

You can just take off the lower part of the fan shroud.
You will lose a slight bit of cooling efficiancy but usually not enough to be a problem.

You could.
Or you could drop the shroud down.
Or you could do a 2" drivetrain lift.
Or you could do the easy dodgy way and just unbolt the lower part of the shroud.
:)
