Post by HIANUFGQ »

Looking to buy a Nissan Patrol GU ST-S 4.8 petrol. Can anyone tell me what sort of mileage they get?? A freind told me his parents get about 700klm out of 95lt which is approx 14lt per 100. Can anyone vouch for this?

One magazine that did the original testing in soft sand work got 54/100!

yea the large petrols have come down to rock bottom with fuel prices.

for $20k it would be good.

4.5's are now worth 18k ish, plenty of them at that sorta price, but fuckin thirsty.

bet nissan aint selling or importing many 4.8's at the moment.

For 20K it's a steal. Spend 4K-4.5K on sequential gas LPG injection and get same power with only about 5% max drop in economy and you're laughing.
If not, tell me where it is and I'll buy it myself.:D

As said above, 20/100 is about right around town, and really not much better on the highway (maybe get around 17/100 if not fully loaded). I've owned mine for 2 years now, so this is not some "I think" response - take it as fact!

BTW, I'm guessing for $20K it will have huge klm's on it or something, because there are not a lot around at that price. They start at around $30K for ones with decent mileage (under 100,000).

I have been told if you put the 4.8 on gas it destroys the motor? is this correct.
