people talk about this being done by one shop or another, but does anybody have part numbers or more details on what is involved / what parts are involved (detailed) in one of these setups i.e. to do it yourself?

Also on the same note, whats involved in going to coil pack instead of dizzy? more interested in the HEI though, coil packs sounds 'spensive to do.

A few placed do the HEI. It starts out life as a Falcon 6 distributor but the Nissan TB needs a tapered shaft housing to seat correctly in the block and there is more that one taper so it takes ages to machine one up. Hence, no part numbers as it's not an off the shelf item. About $700 though. But look at it like this, I spent $450 on an Ignitor II and Flamethrower II coil to suit, $35 for extended rotor button and the distibutor needs reco and recurve for LPG, $160. That's $645. All other components of the HEI are off the shelf though, but everything is brand new and will outlast the car. There is also a timing retard to suit this distributor for a turbo setup. Mmmm. Group buy anyone?

what about something that doesn't change the dizzy, but can still use the output of my pertronix ignitor to trigger a multi coil pack?
