hey, i have a 1990 2.8l turbo diesel rocky that has a very leaky diesel pump. anyone have any idea on what it cost to get them rebuilt. thanks daniel

I had mine rebuilt in 2003 because the seals had started leaking. I thought it was caused by the low sulphur diesel but it was caused by water in the fuel - (previous owner).

I shopped around Brisbane and most reputable places were about the same price. Cost me $840.00 so I now run a separate water / fuel filter in addition to the original Daihatsu one.

Not the sort of thing you want to get fixed too often.

On a more positive note, you could ask the place that does the work to the pump to tweak the boost a bit before they do the pump settings and gain a bit of power at the same time!

Leaky diesel pump........ $840 for rebuild......... or $6 for a tube of silicone (hey, to save $834, i'd try it )
