Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Gday all
Have a MQ with aluminium bull bar. can I fit a winch, some how.

You can get Steel trays that bolt onto the Chassis that hold the winch on them rather than the bullbar

One of the guys i know in our 4x4 club with a Hulux mounted a winch to the alloy bar, when he went to use it, it nearly ripped the bar in half, Allow simply can't take the stress of 4+ tonne

would an ally bar be strong enough to cope with winching off it? I would've thought they'd be too weak.

thats why you mount the cradle to the chassis not the bar.

IMHO there should be 100s of MQ Winch bars around wreckers and the place, just look for one.

as bogges says thee is prolly plenty of winch bars around, but if you like the alloy bar or cant find a winch bar etc you can get a cradle made up for the winch at any engineering shop or if you hany with a welder make one yourself
