would be a vary hard conversion to do, never heard of it done before personal think your pushing s#*t up hill. Go the EFI Vatara Motor, got a mate with one in his zook thing flys, very simple convestion to do as well.

if you are insisting on having a TD in your sierra, have a look at the Izuzu 2.0. Or the rodeo ( Izuzu) 2.2L. Much easier to fit, and I have seen it done with the 2.0L and it was awesome offroad. gearing becomes an issue for onroad use but with some fiddling around it is definately doable.

You can use the Sierra transmission. It's not 100% bolt up, but it's pretty close.
TIP: You will find shedloads on this if you do a search

have done the diesel route with isuzu 1.8lt 4FB1 out of a Holden Gemi....
Was very good offroad but the engine is very very heavy......not a bolt in a requires transfer to be shifted back and you can't get a jack shaft in there.....
just go a vitara efi or jimny efi......G13bb out of a jimny bolts to same chassis mounts and bolts to sierra gearbox......

In the US you could get a kit from Keltec through Rocky Road Outfitters. it was a good combo but that engine isn't available here in Australia.
Adding a 2.8 or 2.4 diesel engine is adding a huge amount of weight to a very light vehicle. You would be killing one of the main assets of the Zuk , it's lightweight. It could be done but you really have to think why, may as well buy a hilux because you'd end up putting hilux diffs and probably g/box and t/case anyway to make it all work properly

The 2.4 hilux motor is heavier than a holden V6. Why do it.

I have a samurai with the toyota 2ct diesel bolted to a t50 gearbox . I is heavy and you notice it driving around . I don't offroad it thou . It has heaps of grunt and is very quick 0-100 , alas does not do much more than 130 ish , too noisy .
