heres the senario.

i get into my 110 at 510am for work. starts up, no probs. i let her idle for a minute or so. I flick my lights on and only the left comes on. i back out and start to drive up the road, and the right one slowly gets brighter the further i drive. i try the wipers, as it is a bit foggy, and they go very slowly (a bit like me in the morning) and stop about half way. jammed. I keep driving, and about 5 kms up the road, when the car is completely on temp, the wipers continue to work normally. By this time the lights are at their full brightness.

In the arvo (4 ish) the wipers work fine. I am running 2 12v batteries in parallel, which start the car instantly. The alternator is standard landy/isuzu and was recoed just before i bought the car (3 and a bit years ago) .

my instinct says alternator. what and how do i test?

Andrew.

sounds more like batteries than alternator... the alternator was charging the batteries up enough to make everything work..

Andrew, the sticky link at the top of the electrical forum has some information on alternator checks that may be useful http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... hp?t=11788

i had the same problem with the series wipers. dont know if the 110 is the same setup, but mine was the earth. its connected to the windscreen frame so it pulls off when you fold the screen flat.

anyway - check the earths. 9/10 times they are the problem.
