Guys, Have got a 4wd systems carrier which i am modifying for a 2" bodylift on my Surf. I got the instructions fax'd to me from 4wdsystems and they are bloody hard to understand, anyone shed some light who has done it, whats the easiest thing to do.
The mount didn't come with any bolts or anything also, what sort do they used for throught the bumper ? I am getting the mount cut today and will try and mount it this week, just looking for some pointers or anything that people found to make it easier, guess i have to take off the whole bumbper.
Cheers

Just wanted to say that i think 4wd systems are
. I guess grade 8 hi tensile bolts will do the trick.
Anyway, Didnt you make a wheel carrier. I am preetty sure i 1/2 stole you design

Hey mate, yep, going to use hi tensile bolts.
Yep I did make a carrier, but it's too heavy when the truck is loaded up, the 4wd systems one is much lighter, plus it was relativly cheap second hand.
A few people have borrowed that design, it works well.

Have you tried calling 4wd systems and asking them about it? Last time i dealt with them they were pretty helpful.

Well just spoke to the guys at 4wd systems, can't fit the carrier with that towbar, so going to fit the carrier and scrap the towbar. They said the towbar is very easily modified to fit once the carrier is in place. The carrier uses the sem mount on the outside of the chassis as the towbar. Anyone know anyone who'd like to modify my towbar
