Narva water leak

Hi
I have some narva 175s and they sometime end up below the water line and sometimes get mud inside them.
They have a small drain hole on the back of the lense.
If I seal the hole or seal around the lense and the case that they are mounted in, will that have a bad effect on the heat or preasure when using them?
If they are air tight could that cause them to blow or anything like that?
Cheers
Eric

not good to have them air tight, the heat from the lamp when on will espand any gas (includes air) that is present in the fitting. something will eventually give way, probably the lens. you can put a breather on it if your really worried.

Thats what i was worried about.
I might try and seal the beam into the housing but not the hole in the beam.
Preasure might come in and out through where the cable goes into the housing and it might be enough to stop mud getting into the lense?

im not real sure what ya trying to say, but if you wana do it right, have the cable holes sealed properly and put a small breather hose on it, cable tie the breather to the cable and run them up high in the engine bay......

Either that or if u have a air tank and fittings pressurise the spotties so water will not go in.
U can do it with tail lights so should be ok with spotties
cheers
