Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Is there much/any difference with brands? I'm looking at sum AVM ones at the moment to keep just-in-case.

Yes there is. AVM are stronger than the ORA ones. ORA are prone to breaking, had a maket go through 2 and replaced with AVM with no probs. I use AVM and have never had any dramas. My 2c...

I just fitted a set of AVM hubs to my 60 series...havent actually engaged them (off road) but just by looking at them you can tell that they are well made and should last the distance!

AVM hubs aren´t heavy duty... if you are going to give them a hard time, as the internal bits are plastic, the knob falls off letting water and crap go all the way into the wheel bearings, and there isn´t any AVM repair kit available, so after that, I just got myself a pair of genuine hubs.

I dont think i could get gen daihatsu ones, its hard enough finding important stuff like alternators for em .... what parts are plastic? and what knob fell off, the one you twist to lock em in?

This is what was left of it. , it happend in one of those muddy trips, so take a guess how far the mud got in.

the 80s avm's are weaker than the nissan ones i don't know about others. rod fitted some (3 sets under warrenty) to his old mans breaking every set with only 32"'s. the avms on mine look way thicker and better castings unlike the 80s ones aero bar ones i have seen.

forgot to ask, what would a set of these normally set you back? $50? $100? 150??

i didn't buy mine, i think there is not much change outta $200, if it was me i would go for s/h factory ones. prob get a whole diff for $200

just got em for $65 (sorry bundy, but i waited up all night for em )

I was under the impression there was a repair kit available at ARB or the like?

Why didnt you bid on the genuine fuel filter. He only wanted $10 for it. They are about $60 to buy. Only reason I didnt is cause I have 2 spare at the moment. Last one I bought for $2.50 plus $4.40 postage.

Don´t know about arb, but at least Donkyatt in sydney doesn´t, and that´s where I bought them from.
Anyway, in my case, im glad there was no repair kit, cause the ones I´ve got now are bullet proof.

Damn you , NEVER bid before the last few mins .... didnt see the fuel filters, i cliked view other items from him but they mustave ended b4 i got a chance to see em.
