Hey All just wondering if anybody knows a good place to get the leaf springs on my 60 reset as she is suffering a saggy @rse and is in deperate need of toning her muscles.
I was thinking (if possible) to get the springs reset 50mm above standard then stickin a set of Poly-Airs under her, to help when loaded. Does that sound like a plan? Has Any one had problems with reset standard springs?
Cheers Troy

I had my springs reset with a leaf added to the rear. After about 4 months the fronts had sagged back to where they were, but the rears with the extra leaf are still good. Considering the price of OME Dakars now I would just go with new springs next time. I have the Dakars on the front now. I think all up you could get a set of 4 Dakar springs for $550 or thereabouts. The cost to get my 4 leaves reset was $340.

Do the Dakars come in different heights, im after a 2inch (50mm) lift. where can i buy them? are they those ones ARB has started importing or somthing? What sort of shocks do people recommend? Will i have to extend brake lines?

Yeh, the Dakars are Olm Man Emu, distributed by ARB. I believe that they are made by Belton in Malaysia. They come as a 2" lift. You won't have to extend the brake lines with such a mild lift. I went with Enforcer shocks at $105 each.

Too much! I tried to get out of it cheaply and ended up paying more than I should have.
Reset springs, new bushes, shocks and steering damper = $1185
Which would have been ok, except then I got;
Greaseable shackles = $135
Greaseable Pins = $95
U Bolts = $75
Then I had to get new front springs as the reset ones had sagged = $300.
So all up I spent $1790 and I installed the shackles, pins, U bolts and new springs. I would have been better just getting the Dakar kit fitted which was $1700 I think from memory.

I got a full 2inch suspension kit through Arctic Cool Treads at Rocklea its all ProComp springs, anti-reverse shackles, greasble pins, U-Bolts, Steering Damper and procomp es3000 shocks for 1200 installed. And there pretty good there. Springs have a thick helper spring at back for towin and heavy loads, and when thats removed they flex pretty well for an old bus.

tuff old 60ser, 5 inch lift all up on 33's, flex's pretty good for an old beast, just ATMO 2h diesel with fuel pump turned up and a few other engine tricks
Good car, lot more comfortable then my previous 2 forty series
Arctic COol Treads is on your left up donaldson road exit after ABC wreckers, if you go past ABC on ippy motorway(heading towards City from ippy) you cross a little bridge and its first left then you cant miss it
