Whats the advantage of ditching the backing plates?
Doesnt fill up with mud or what?

Doesnt fill with mud and water and it makes it a lot easier to replace CVs which Bubs will be doing lots of because he is too tight to buy some modified ones :D

cut around the plate over the spindle, don't forget to leave the tab that the brake hose runs through.

you need the seal on the backing plate to help keep crap away from the rear bearing seal on the rotor.

I just ran the flexi line straight to the caliper. But the cruiser flexi lines are male/female, not female/female so we have the luxury of that, plus now my brake caliper can be stored a foot away from the knuckle when im changing front axles.

Rob this can also be done with the hilux caliper as well you just need the right flexy line.

I can't really see much point of cutting the backing plate off (for us Stone apes) as we don't see much mud and shit!

You can use the REAR HILUX flexi line and it fits straight to the fronts!

I have no problems when changing axles, CV's etc etc!
