Regrooving Tyres

Wondering if anyone on the coast, or newy or sydney has a regrooving tool? willing to lend it or lend their time in exchange for a case of beer or somehting else, iv got some baldy JT2s i wanna regroove, unless anyone knows of a tyre place on the coast/newy/sydney thatll do it cos none of the tyre mobs round here will do it...

well, got them done today, tyres were in pretty bad nick, but atleast the regrooving will keep the cops off me for a while, theire good now, all up 4 tyres = $75, couldnt really complain...$18.75 a tyre, better than what the grinder was doing :lol:

didnt know i had to supply photos john :lol: its too dark now and raining, but he got em from bald to 4mm blocks, im happy until i get new tyres :D

You do know that driving on regrooved tyres is just as illegal as driving on bald tyres don't you? (unless the tyres specifically say "regroovable" on the sidewall).

I think he means they are just looking better.. and hopefully the cops wont notice..
If they are bald they pick it up straight away... with 4mm blocks there is less chance i suppose. But yeh, if they look for a treadwear indicator you're in trouble :lol:

yes i understand that, but for now, they shall do the job well, until i buy new tyres ;) thats all, although on the recipet it does not say anywehre that regrooving tyres is illegal, unlike when i had my previosu exhaust done and it stated that "this product may not meet the current laws or regulations in your state and we take no repsonsibility for this" or anything along those lines, plead ignorance until such times i say :D but thanks for the thought
