Outer Limits 4x4 Board

In the process of changing an axel seal...
After removing the manual locking hub i am stuck trying to remove the nut and washer in the end of the axel.
Each time i attempt to undo it the axle spins hence having no affect in undoing it.
How can i stop this?

Lock in the FWH on the other side and engage 4WD and it wont spin. Or easier is to use a rattle gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
