Buy mine and find out
(See thread in for sale section - set of 5 in 37/12.5/16)
They are no where near as bad on road as some people say. As long as they are balanced properly - and that's the hard part to get done - they run quite well on road.
On my last set - which were 3rd hand to me - I clocked up around 5000ks with no noticeable wear. I drove to Bribie Is and back on them and they were no noisier than my MT/Rs. On the sand they were excellent and the fire trails around Ormeau - rock and loose dirt - they have been awesome.
With such STRONG sidewalls, you don't seem to notice the bumps as much.
They were fine in the wet, too. This may be attributed to the constant 4WD in my Fender...but they were holding on really well.
With being vigilant about pressures and rotation...I think that 50 000ks is not out of the question.
