Outer Limits 4x4 Board

im looking to try to get more articulation out of the front of the GQ.its only 2"spring and i thought by lowering that hideous arms mounting point down it would allow the front to drop more.if im not sounding mad at this point then is there such a thing as bolt on drop boxes as i thought i read some one that did it.

He has them on his GQ and by all accounts they seem to work well, I'm pretty sure they are a combination of bolt/weld on

with 2" springs I dont see the need to go for drop boxes, the bushes provided you are running OE rubber oned should allow sufficient droop.

drop boxes work the same as a drop arm by leveling the arm back out and as you have figured should allow more droop because the pin on the arm is level in the bush. the set up with the standard geomatry that will really increase flex dramatically is the 3rds arms.

drop boxes and arms are made to correct castor of a 4" lift so by putting drop boxes on a vehicle with 2" springs you will increase teh castor and will end up with smilar probs as to much neg castor.

have you got extra reach shocks? if you dont they may be limiting travel and that will be damaging the shocks as they will be acting as a bump stop. standard 80s shocks are a suitable replacment if you can find some cheap

DROP BOXES ARE ONLY SUITABLE FOR 3" AND HIGHER.
I AGREE WITH TINY CHECK YOUR SHOCK LENGHT

thanks fellas,its all matched and works great but compared to the 5 link rear as u know its not a comparison.just looking to make it more affective thats all, to match the rear more with out investing to much mullah in it.
