mods please do not delete yet..

ok got a frontcut in yesterday. its a sierra wt (jap jimny) 1.3 efi (spi)
with a sierra auto.

now for some specs for the auto...

it measures 440mm long.
it is made by suzuki as far as i can tell but does use mitsu electrics.
uses std suzuki g-box mounts and bolts up to the 1.3 block.
looks to use a vitara hi torque starter motor.
the tunnel is totally different to a manuel box.
not too sure on how the kickdown works at this time but i have eliminated
a vaccume (sp) or cable setup. it is definently electric but just not sure how yet..(will find out for sure tomorrow).
uses a totally different jack shaft.
has a very piss weak breather system.
it is only a 3 speed with no overdrive.
also unlike the vit 3 speed it has a drain bung in the sump.

looks to be a very strong box (although small) as it is very bulky and has lots of strenthening fins.

it has a oil cooler through the radiator (normal) but it also has a small
oil cooler just below the chassis that mounts onto the swaybar mounts.

pics are in the digi cam but im going home now so ill post them tomorrow.

by the afternoon ill let you know how the kickdown works and wheather or not you can use this without it going to the ecu.

If this gearbox is the same as the US 2wd Auto then a english manual supplement should be available?

Be really interested to see the schematics as if it's anything like the older 2speed/3 speed auto-boxes in alto/hatches/swifts then you could possible to intercept the incoming signal and make it selectable between Semi-auto/Clutchless-Manual and ?Fully automatic (or replace it entirely)

i see...

the difference here is that you do not need to wire it up as it is already in the loom.

i run a g13bb with a man box... so im going to strip the auto loom out of the engine loom and suss out how to hook it into a normal man loom.

the auto loom does have some wires going into the puter so im really not sure if it will work yet.

im searching my avenues trying to find a wiring diagram.

i will know by tonight if it will work or not.

I helped fit the auto in that zook on the NBS forum. It was from a jap import front cut. Was a coily model, and came with the G13BA 16v motor. The wiring for the electric auto was integrated with the engine loom. the bundle of wires coming from the auto was as thick as my thumb!!

I can tell you that it is a very strong box, and it performs buetifully off road. Its not as snappy on road as a 5 sp, but thats to be expected.
