I've just pulled the rear main out of my 1.3 Sierra. It was completely destroyed and haemorrhaged big time. When replacing it with a new one it is supposed to sit flush with the back of the block or pressed in completely?
Thanks Heaps

it can be either.
most of the time you bang em in flush.
if the crank has slight marks on it punch it in a little further.
as you can see there is not stopper for the seal ,so make sure you just tap it in and then make sure it is strait, or it will be leaking in a few days again.
