Annoying Vibration

Gday fellas,

The paj has developed a rather annoying vibration and it only
really occurs at a few different speeds, 80-90km/hr and then goes,
but comes back around 120km/hr.

It also has a massive vibration in second gear at around 2500-3200rpm
but you can semi stop that if you only just touch the accelerator and
cruise up to those rpms.

I believe the clutch needs to be replaced as its definately not like
it used to be, friction point is pretty much at the top of the pedal and
its in or out, bit like a brass button and just as severe.

However the front slip yoke is leaking and the driveshaft has about 2mm
of play in it, would this be the cause of the above described occurance, or
would it be a combination of both the clutch and slip yoke?

Oh its definately not the tyres, cause I just spent $160 getting a fancy
wheel balance and alignment, which did help how the car handles, but
didnt change the vibration.

Cheers

If the clutch need replacing it might be the spigot bearing (i think thats what its called)
This is the bearing that fits in the flywheel and the gearbox input shaft slots into
Alot of clutch kits don't come with this bearing so buy it seperately

Tip for getting the bearing out from the fly wheel:
1.Fill the gap behind the bearing with heaps of grease
2.Get a bolt the same diameter as the shaft , slightly smaller is usually ok
3.Place the bolt in the brearing hole and whack it with the hammer
the grease will just push the bearing out

South,

I had similar symptoms from my prop shaft that had thrown a weight

I was thinking buggered uni, but there'd be a big backlash with that
