Does the design require custom springs or are they just a bush replacement??

The spring eyes are larger with Johhny joints in them...thats about it!...it just allows the pack to pivot more. Also where the leaf meet the mounts on the diff housing im using EH holden rubber mounts

I've been thinking about using Orbit eyes or Johnny Joints etc as a spring mount. I was hoping someone else was planning or had done this so we could compare ideas info. Another thought was running a threaded rod that ran through a mount on the frame and attached to the solid mounted end of the frame. this would allow the fixed end to pivot/twist thus opening up more travel

thought of something like that, but strength was an issue along with ware. The shackels take a flogging along with the joints, at least if a joint lets go the eye will still hold it in place. Bushes ware out quickly so I thought it was better to only have one area of ware instead of 2, for example having a rod ware as well as bushes...theres more to replace.
We sell the main leafs with the johnnys in them, but I wont advertise them here...Forums like this one are fantastic and i dont think they should be used for commercial venture, unless the business owns the rights to one...even then they should allow peoples point of view of their product without deleting their message...after all it is public!..ahh my two cents!

In reply, if a buisness has a NEW product or such, it would be good to let people know of the idea, or part and receive feedback.
If its crap, people will let you know about it publicly on the board, so its a double edged sword.
Thats my opinion anyway.

yep..true, posting a new product is a good idea, even if its bad feed back they could revise the product to make it better!, i think that advertising can get out of hand sometimes on a public forum...afterall thats what makes these forums great....may be there could be a links page that could just have one post per item, breif description and a link to that business web site?..if a business posts too much info or spams the same item boot them.

maybe get the business (s) who have links posted support the site, at the end of the day this site, stickers...etc costs somebody...that makes it fair all round

on the other hand, if someone has a new product and they are looking at patenting it, they should keep their mouth shut.
by talking about an idea you can jeapordise the prospects of having a patent application approved.
