What lift would I need to run 33inch baja claws on a 90 model Lux?

Any problems I would encounter?

Also anyone tried the Dobinson shocks yet? Or should I got Rancho?

id say a simple 2.5" suspension lift and 2" body lift would be certanly enough

is it a 2.8d , you might want to think about going to 4.88 r&p's aswell

yeh 2-3" spring lift with body lift to give extra clearence.

i have 33" with a 2.5" spring lift (no body lift yet, will come soon), they rub a little on the mudlap/guard on the front but nothing major, rear is no problem.

as for diff gears, i wouldnt bother until u get 35"+ i hardly notice the difference on road and off road even less.

as for the shocks, dobinsons are 180 pair and rancho are $400 a pair, depends what your after, if you want heaps of travel then u need ranchos bu if you just have a small spring lift and ok travel and just do general 4x4ing then the dobinons may be adequate.

35s or 33's?

Whats needed for 35's?

ive seen others saying 33s arent worth the effort.....

Anyone got some 35 x 13 x 15 claws forsale? :)

My lux has 15inch rims, is that normal?? This is my first car, only had it 8 weeks!

8 weeks and you're already into it! Impressive. I don't know jack but I'd go bigger. Bigger is better! I reckon you should wait and save up some money. Then go spring over and high steer.

Most lux's I see are 16inch rims, Mine has 15's.. Is there different models with different rims?

Thanks...

16's were the shitty split rims they came out with mostly. Don't worry about it, it just means the person before you wanted to run wider tyres so put aftermarket 15 inch wheels on it. What you willl need to find out is if they are 7 or 8 inches wide. You will need to have 8" wide ones to run 33z or 35z....because these will be either 12.5" or 13" wide. I would say start out with a set of 33 muds....preferably second hand, so that you can see how you like them and if you feel the need to run 35z (as you surely will) then you can get your claws or swampers and keep the 33z as your street tyres. Good luck with it and keep the questions coming. Jeremy

BFG have a 33x10.5 for 15" RIMS which u can run on a 7" rim + u wont need flares.

yeh good tip surfection that is what im going to do, my 33" muds are new so they should work fine until i get some serious rubber.
