G'day. Got a GQ ute with 3" spring lift and 2" body. Now im in brissy and was wondering if anyone has had their's done and how much it cost them? I need to get my bank balance in $$$$$$$.

Im going to try and ring some engineers round the place but i don't know if they all do 4wd engineering. Anyone know of some good engineers they recommned round the place. I Haven't heard if QLD has gone the 2" law yet so if i have to put 2" springs in to get it engineered i will. Any help and recommendations would be great.
Cheers
Smitty.

Getting it engineered won't make it legal.. getting it engineered will say that all your mods/efforts may be all fine and dandy, but if it doesn't comply with the DoT's regulations, its still illegal in their eyes

At the moment 3" should be modifiable and engineerable.
There's no guarantees that it'll still be legal when (if) the new DoT rules come in.
Having said that, if it's not big bucks it's worth a try.... they may not retrospectively amend the status of existing mods.

you cannot engineer either in qld by the approved persons scheme.
2" needs no approval 3" is illegal
2" body requires you to obtain a form from the dot and submit it back to them. you need to carry the paper they give you back all the time
