Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi Guys,

On the 11th of this month I sold a set of tyres to XXXXX XXX from GGGGGGG. I did not have time to remove them from the rims and he assured me that he would get the rims back to me within a week. I have left many messages for him on his mobile, and PM'd him here (username: brendan rooke) and emailed him as well, all without response.

He is the guy that is also selling parts off a wrecked HHH UUUUU.

If anyone knows him personally, could they please email me or contact him and ask him to call Andrew in Brisbane regarding the wheels.

I am not disputing that this might be an honest mistake and he might have lost his mobile, I am just getting a little concerned.

As of this morning, I am contacting the police and providing them with all the information I have.

It is VERY DISAPPOINTING that another member of this forum is usug outerlimits for this purpose, and I know that it is not common on here. I have bought and sold many things on outerlimits and have never had this occur until now.

Outerlimits provide a free and great way to sell your stuff so it is a shame that people don't do the right thing.
If you trust people who you don't even know you are bound to get ripped in the end.
It sux how people can blatantly rip someone off ,after they were trusted to do the right thing.

Believe me, I am kicking myself for bring this trusting. I wouldn't usually do this sort of thing, but I did it on the spur of the moment. Lesson learned, and I hope that this serves as a warning to others who are purchasing gear off ANY forum or from people who they haven't met before, and need to meet again.

In fouture I have decided to ask for (and take a scan/copy of) a drivers licence and other proof of address.

GREAT NEWS!!!!

After contacting the police and a few other avenues in the local area, I am glad to say that the wheels arrived un-announced at my place on friday.

Great relief, and now I can sell them and get some cash back!
