No they do that over there. i've seen pics of a 2.5l defender td5 on 44s. I'm pretty sure they gear them down real low, and they dont have many rocks to get traction on and break stuff. Its all about distributing the weight over a greater surface area on the snow. Remember gonads old zook pushes 46's with the 1.3l!

You should make a mould of them, and start selling them. If you could sell them for ~$300 you would clean up.

biggest trouble is the man hours going into making them. i made a set of flares from scratch took me bout a month worth of weekends and bout $400 in materials. Not really worth it.

It's always a nice (and ethical) idea to acknowledge where pics and stories come from, to give credit to the original owner.

For those interested in the Iceland pics, go to http://www.4x4offroads.com/index.html

And for the GQ Patrol mods, go to http://www.4x4offroads.com/nissan-patrol-1993.html

Ciao,

Dave

but once you have done the hard work, making a mould is piss easy, and running them out of the mould is just as easy.

YMMV
