Surf Conversion

Hey Guys,
I have a couple of questions about a surf conversion i'm hoping someone may be able to help me with.
1st question being, will the existing Auto attached to a 2LTE motor be a bolt it on fit to a 3L motor, or will i need an adapter/different belhousing
2 - Is the harness the same? I'm assuming it would be, but then again could be wrong.
3 - Who can tune these puppies around Brisbane assuming a 3L motor with a CT20 hanging off the side of it.

the only thing i can see you would have a drama with is the kick down and electronic shift of the auto. but you could use all the surf inlet manifolds and a compensator fitted to the pump. highway diesel on the southside

If your planning to use the 3l with a manual pump you can mount up the surf inlet manifold with TPS and wire it to shift the auto.

Sorry but I should have been more clearer,
Question / whats gone wrong with the 2.4
The 3l [2.8] will bolt straight up.
Think you can use original harness,
If you use the electic pump some sort of crank angle sensor needs to be used to give the ECU the correct info for the auto trans to shift.
And 5l [3.0] and not to be confused with a 1KZ-TE [3.0] iv'e been told needs to move mounts ect not a straight bolt up to the old 2.4s transmission and then have the same issues with TPS and CAS to shift the auto.

everything from the 2.4 will bolt straight up to the 2.8 so you shouldn't have a problem, the only thing to get re-jigged will be the pump, so highway diesel will know what to do. I have heard you can use the surf pump and just change the resistors in the pump, some of the surf guys in Perth have done that and works great.
Let us know how you go
cheers
Dan.

The 2.4's a little tired, and the sump gasket needs changing and timing needs doing. Its all a case of if i'm taking the motor out, it ain't goin back in as a 2.4.
Thanks for the help...
Sounds like the CAS is gonna be a bit of a stuff around though.

I think you have to lower the compression on the 2.8 otherwise the bottom end don't last long.
