02 gu diff oil

Hiyall,took the gu swimming this morning,water was well over the bonnet.This is the first time iv'e done this,therefore is it advisable to change the diff oils or will they be ok,Less than 5 minutes spent at this depth.

oils are cheaper than new diffs and gearbox's. undo the filler bung, dip your finger in to see if you did actually get water in there.

And front wheel bearings, freewheeling hubs, uni joints, clutch housing, aircon compressor, alternator. The list goes on. Grease all your joints and watch the rusty water pop out.

take one of the bolts ( lowest one ) out of the swivel bearing cap under front axle and poke some thing in to see if water comes out. I've repacked mine if this happens.

also check the sliders in your brake calipers for crud not cheap to replace rotors and pitted calipers either
