1st place to start would be to PM slowhilux, phil has plenty of knowledge on the subject of these motors. Next talk to the guys at SSS Automotive in Sydney, that's where I got my motor from. Came with computer, air flow meter, coil & bellhousing, bolted straight up to the hilux G52 gearbox but did need a heavy duty clutch custom made, clutch cost $450 and will not die I'm led to believe.
Still yet to hear it run but hoping it'll be a crowd favourite !!

already talked to sss (sort of)
and they do seem to be the people to sorce any import motors through
cheers for the help with the bell housing cause that was our major concern
next on the list of thigs to do : pm slowhilux

Where are you Brokelux?? I'm in Brisbane and my cousin here has a 1ggte supra in the back yard that has been written off. Engine is fine. i was looking at this conversion but i woud prefer the supercharged one if i was bothered to take on this project.
Let me know if you want to persue this avenue - he may be willing to sell....

Hi all,
its actually my vehicle that we are doing the conversion into but brokelux is the mechanic behind the conversion!!
I just gave sss another ring to find out exactly what comes with the 1g-gte kit and he said that to get the bellhousing it will cost $1000 not $750.. but thats okay cause brokelux has one that might fit.. he also said that the bellhousing wont bolt up?? he said he did it with a mate to an 86 hilux and he had to use the supra box otherwise you have to move the box back!! but i dont think he realised i was talking about a 4wd!!
So im not sure now though!! i really want to know exactly before i start!! cause im on a tight budget!!
Cheers
derek
p.s mine is an 85 hilux with 3y engine and g52 gearbox.

well i shouldn't imagen there would be a lot of difference between a 1ggte and a 1ggze one is turboed one is supercharged awside from that watever info you have would be valid (i think)

The M seris bellhousing won't fit the 1G but its bloody valuable so grab it.. what about gonin for the 7M.. better low down torque than a hi revin 1G

You need the 1G-to-W58/55 or 57 bellhousing, also the 1GGTE flywheel, clutch, clutch fork and slave cylinder. Then bolt all of it together. Cant be simpler.
