Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I have a SWB on gas and auto trans running 33's, engine runs fine but since doing a couple of interstate trips have found grunt on long hills a bit lacking. Is the electronic ignition worth doing? I am not after heaps more power but have heard mixed things about extractors and larger exhausts on these engines. Also what sort of mileage should i get to a 85L tank of LPG on the feeway im getting just shy of 400kms was hoping for a little better.

Electronic dizzy is worth the effort, same with extractors and a K&N filter, not sure about your economy but I get 400km out of 95 litres of Optimax.

On a recent trip to QLD,my LWB got approx 300km to 75l of LPG.Now that is with 2 adults and 3 kids,a 7 x 5 trailer loaded twice as high as the edge of the trailer.I only have the Crane Cams ignition set up and a 2 1/2 system but with no extractors.It is a slug up hills but better of a night time cause of my snorkel.I dont have it going straight to the air cleaner,i have it going thru a `T`piece so that the engine gets what it wants rather then to much for it.It works out about 50km in distance better this way and it still has the same gutless grunt.

Could you get too much air into a carby with a snorkle making it run lean? I would have thought it would be no different to pre carby supercharging, which apparently used to work until the point your carby seals couldn't handle anymore boost.
