A friend of mine has just just given me an almost new set of extractors today, question is will they fit ok. My patrol is 4.2efi petrol 1992 TB42 engine, and the car they came from is a 1998 4.2 diesel TD42.
I have asked some of the guys in our club and they all reckon they should be a perfect fit, has anyone came across the same senario.

Cheers..

yes, but wont be worth doing unless u do the rest of the exhaust, even then it isnt worth the $ outlay

I think most people just try justifying their outlay saying FUCK YEA IT GOES GREAT NOW BETTER THAN EVER.. when infact it doesnt do shit!

Thanks Bogged, I am fitting them next weekend then getting a new 2 1/2" exhaust fitted next month, figured the exhaust place would want plenty$$$ to fit them in.

I have a full 2.5" system in mine, included Muffler, 2.5" pipework and extractors for $600 fitted at Carline Mufflers.

Ran better than ever, well i guess it does, funny story was that i just changed over from 31" tyres to 33" tyres and i was told that extractors would give me a slight power boost, after getting the car back and running it for a while, i didn't notice any improvement. Performed as if i didn't have them on, then remembered, i had 33's on not 31's, so i get the same power profile using the 33's and extractors as i did with a manifold and 31's, was worth the effort, especally now i use 35's off road
