by just cruizin'
The engine will fit up to the sierra box, I wouldn't bother doing the rest, cost far too much to be practical.

Secondly why not keep the 4wd capability, spose you want want to know how far you can lower it and where to get 20" wheels and rubber too. Very Bling

its a solid front so thats no dramas... what work would i have to do to fit the box... it is a 2wd buggy for reacing in thge scout association... would it be as easy as wleding spring perches and wideniung the trans tunnel???

don't bother with vit diffs ( even tho they aren't live axle front). Go lux diffs if you have to change them.

The gearbox will fit, but you'll have to widen the tunnel by about 3". They are a stronger box than the sierra 5sp, so it is definately worth the effort.

but if you are looking for more power and you want to go to 2wd, then maybe you should be looking at a 4AGE 20 valve front cut with a RWD gearbox? then all you need to do once you have removed the zook transfer case is make a driveshaft from the toy g'box to the diff.

hang on, so you have a Sierra body and a wrecked Vitara, so do you want to put the Sierra body onto the Vitara or do you also have a Sierra chassi s, body etc that you want to put the Vitara running gear into?

Also you do realise that the Vitara doesn't have a solid front axle.

Maybe explain EXACTLY what you have and what you want to do

i need to make sure it can be done before i buy... imagine a sierra shell and chassis with a lot of suspension and body work... now imagine a vitra that had a SAS that got rear ended... the sierra already has engine mounts for a 1.6... i want to retain the supension set up that is on the sierra chassis and shell... does this make more sense???

OK so you want to buy my sierra body/chassis and giles' vitara then use Giles' vitara engine, box, transfer and diffs? (SAS'd Vitara)

This would be a fairly simple job,

spring pearches onto diffs for leaf springs
transmission crossmember out of Vit onto sierra
trim trans tunnel on sierra to clear gearbox

Wheel the crapper out of it.
