Outer Limits 4x4 Board

G'day All,
Bought a new set of Cibie Oscar's yesterday after some barstard kindly offered to remove my old Hella's without my knowledge (brackets and all! Nicely cut the wiring too). Planning on buying anti theft nuts for them on Friday to prevent this lot being taken (too expensive to have them stolen!!).

Anyway, to the question. The ones I have are 100W's. Can I simply swap the globes in them to 130W without any consequences?? And if I do, what size fuse and relay should I then be running??

If I can't just swap them to 130W globes, what size fuse and relay should I be running with the 100W globes anyway??

some people are just bastards

to work out your amperage draw Watts / volts = amps.
so 200w (2 lights) / 12V = 16.6 amps.
round up to 20 amp fuse.

260w / 12V = 21.6 amps
Fit a 25 amp fuse.

Floody, dont forget to check the guage of the wiring too. You may need to upgrade to a larger diameter to cope with the extra current draw.

Thanks for the reply's. However went hunting 130W H1 globes, and no one makes them, . The H3's won't fit in them.

If you can find them Bosch make a 125 watt globe part number from memory is 112125.

Yep, or 112125C. Same globe just different packaging.

Don't worry about stocking them, just order them in (ie Bursons or Auto Sparky)
