Hi guys, need some advice. My dad's 4.6 feels abit lethargic these days. Currently done 95k miles on the odo. On the next service is there anything that can be done? Unfortunately i dont have diagnostic computer access to check if the car is running on tip top condition(i'm living in Malaysia ). Is it possble to advance the ignition or advance the cam timing or something? Mechcanicaly i think the car is still ok, its not eating oil and running "ok" so far. Just doesnt have the grunt like it used to. Any problems with these cars with the engine and gearbox or experiences u guys want to share?
I also find the gearbox doesnt seem to be a responsive as it use to and the auto box seems to hunt for gears more often these days.

Anything else u guys can suggest? Which forums where most of the P38a owners hang in?
Cheers

Its impossible really to answer such a general question.
Maybe its in limp home mode because of unresolved errors say with bad O2 sensors.
But if anything is wrong it should be showing the Check engine light.
You need a Rovacom light or similar to diagnose.
The Range Rover /disco forum has Daniel as a member who is the Oz agent for Rovacom LIght.
