Hi All,
I am sorry to ask another question concerning the GTI sierra conversion, with most problems sorted out, I was wondering if anyone had attempted to put a MAZDA 323 GTX rotor and dizzy onto the GTI dizzy in order to fit the G13b into the sierra engine bay. This idea was presented on this website
http://home.iprimus.com.au/pulsr/g13b/ .
Also does anyone know how to get intouch with the author of this site?
I think he may have some valuable knowledge...
Thanks again,

Gday,
The engine has about 50000k's, and is in good nick. I spent $1500 for the engine, loom, computer, radiator, extractors, and coil... No the suzisport angle drive kit wont fit apparantly....
Does anyone know the difficulty of changing a cap and rotor from a dizzy?
Thanks

from my understanding the gti angle drive kit fitted g13b twin cam engines from the 1989 - 1996 swifts. and urs is an 1989, so i think it fits, unless its 1990 - 1996.

Hi all,
That would be great if I could get a angle drive kit... it would save me importing a mazda cap from overseas....
Thanks, and anymore suggestions welcome!!!

I heard that with a simple swap of the distributor cap with one from a 323 GTX I did not need to deal with the firewall. It was true, the cap solve all firewall issue. But the cap need a little modification, The inside diameter of the 323 GTX cap is a little bit smaller then the GTI. A little of grinding and the cap fitted perfectly .The rotor must be the one from the 323GTX, because the one from the GTI won't fit properly in the 323 GTX cap. To mount the 323 GTX rotor on the GTI shaft, I took the metal part of a GTi rotor and had it modified to fit the inside the 323 GTX rotor.

No it fits all G13B's (so Ive been told by suzipsort) I have a kit to install in my 87 engine, so I guess I will find out for sure in the coming months.....
We have plenty of those 323GTX engines over here, so I should look into it for future engine transplants.
Ive done one already into a SJ410 but got rough and cut a hole in the firewall
