Have a vibration which comes in at about 80 kph and peaks at about 90-95
it is felt thru the steering wheel and the whole car vibrates from side to side.
I have had the wheels balanced.
Any ideas.
I intend to redo the wheel bearing, prob shaft ujs and the suspension bushes
shortly

hi try checking your uni joints on the tailshafts. the smalest amount of movement will cause this type of vibration.lock it in gear and jam i large screwdriver or bar between thejoint and see if there is movement

I had a similiar prob with new wheels & tyres. The normal way of fitting a tyre is to line the dot on the tyre with the valve on the rim. However the rims were ROH steels & not quite round , so are most tyres. So all I needed to do was to have the tyre rotated 180 on the rim. But if the tyres are old than your prob is not as simple as that.

Hi
jack up the diff and wiggle the wheels at the 12 and 6 oclock positions, if you feel play it is your wheel bearings...the km/hr u said it happens in is wheel related harmonics....so something is loose if all is good with tyres and rims....if you get no play, spin them and look for buckles in rims.
