Outer Limits 4x4 Board

I was tinkering about with my dashboard, and noticed that this little coin cup thingy is removable



And noticed there were 3 more gaps for extra plugs



Just out of curiosity, does anybody know what the extra plugs were that go into the spaces?

And I noticed there were a few plugs near my fusebox that weren't connected to anything


any ideas what they're for?
