Looks nice and clean.

Look underneath at the transfer and see what it has. 82 had the old style and the 1.3s had the newer style. depends if they went that far to put it in there. What driveshafts does it have. (look like twigs or a real driveshaft.)

My ute some soon to. mind u a bit cheaper and not so complete.

Have to go for a hack sometime when mines back on the road.

Not quite sure what you mean tuffsierra, but I'll have a crack anyway -

82 sierra's, to the best of my knowledge, would all be SWB. (first year of the LWB sierra was 83 to the best of my knowledge, so all LWB sierras would have the "late" 1.0 shift light transfer, which is pretty much the same as the 1.3 transfer but with lower gearing. All trayback utes are LWB. There is about 10" more wheelbase in the chassis you have in the ute over a regular SWB 82 sierra, and about 5" more rear overhang int he chassis.

The trayback ute does have a different chassis to even the full bodied LWB sierra. The rear crossmember is different, there are welded in sections to support the tray and the fuel tank is in front of the rear axle on the tray but behind the axle on the full body car. This is so that the spare tyre could mount below the tray behind the rear axle on the tray.

In front on the tray, mechanically all LWB and SWB sierras of the same years are the same.

1.3 litre motors are not a very easy swap into a 1.0. The engine mounts are way different and even the radiator is in a different position. However, the 1.3 5 speed has a much lower 1st gear that when combined with the 1.0 transfer and 1.0 diffs gives quite good gearing even up to around a 31" tyre. Unfortunately when most people swap to a 1.3, they don't also add the boosted brakes from the 1.3 too because of all the firewall/pedal box work, but it's a nice swap to do.

Hope this helps.
Steve.
