G'day all. Can anybody recommend a good oil for the 5 spd in my GU? When I try and change down double shifting or not from fifth to fourth it will not shift down straight away. Wondering if there is a good quality oil someone might know of! Thanks for any heip.

Been told redline is the go. Expensive but worth it apparently.

If it is just sticking in 5th, check the colour of the oil. It maybe the dreaded 5th gear spline issue. The oil will be quite dark, bit like coffee colour, also will be quite smelly.
Mine started out that way, i.e. sticking in 5th after driving for a while. Ended up with new gearbox.
