dash lights staying on.60 series deisel

iv just bought a 60 deisel,iv cleaned up some wiring under the dash and took out the power brake thing that runs power brakes for caravans and the like.anyway now after cleaning hhe wirering up the dash lights stay on even after the car is running.and over night the batterie are dead flat,
what the frig have i done.....there are no lose wires anywhere or anything earthing out so im lost......


can anyone help...

I presume you're talking about your charge light? Somehow you've buggered your charge circuit, so the engine is running off your battery rather than the alternator.

If your charge light is on I'd guess the circuit to your voltage regulator is OK, but the regulator isn't regulating the alternator properly. If you have an alternator with in-built regulator I don't know how you buggered it. If your regulator is a separate unit you probably reconnected it wrong, or the regulator is no longer earthed properly?

Or I'm completely wrong. :D
