A Q for thoses that bust alot of CVs

I have brought theses hilux diffs of another 4x4 owner and i am putting a seal kit through them, doing this i relised there is no iner cir clip holding the axle into the CV. I am thinking he has done this to make it easer to change out CVs when 1 lets go???
The Q is do I need to go out and buy some new cir clips and install them or is it ok to run with out them?
Theses diffs are going under a zuk running 39s, so the axles arnt going to see any high speeds.
Thanks Shane

"martack" is just a fancy name for a weld. Put some grease on the axle splines and insert the axle fully. Then when you remove it you will have the position where you need to put a small weld. The weld stops the inner axle moving in , and the CV bust stops the whole lot moving out.

Hahaha Its all good it already has that. I thought it was just a bit of shit fuesed to the axle spline as if the center has blown up at some time

.
I have a bit to learn about CVs as i have come from unis.
I had know idea what martrack was i read redzooks post and thought i had to go out and buy something

.
Thanks Redzook Thanks Isuzurover, I can go and put it all back together now

1 did, 1 didnt, but both had the welds on them.

It's a handy idea to get a measurement on those tacks and do the same treatment to your spares. Although I ran without clips or martacks for probably a year...It depends on the hemi as to how far the axle can move.

nar the axle seals were all torn up for some reason, There was bearly anything left of the right hand seal, there were bits of the seal spring in the cv housing. Thats why they were leaking oil out from the swivel hub seals, but all is good know. U blown a few cvs in your time?
