--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gday,

I have recently tried to fix my a/c system, however, when I pressed the A/C button on the dash, no light came on, and the compressor wont drive and the condensor fan wont turn. I followed the wires through the firewall and they disappeared somewhere behind the dash. I wanted to check the fuses for the system, but none were present in the fusebox (located under the dash, right side). I used a test light to see which wires had no current. the A/C relay had one wire without current... I also tested the A/C switch wires, no current from either of them. So I am puzzled as to what this poblem is. I have paid auto electricians to look at the system, they charged me 50 bucks and didnt do a thing.

If anyone had a sierra wiring diagram (86 model) this would help alot...

I jumped the compressor from the battery and it worked... however no cold air blew out of the vents. The evaporator is clean...

Problem after problem....

Any help appreciated

Cheers

is it an original system or aftermarket that was fitted ,it could be low on gas some systems have a pressure switch fitted if the gas level is low it will switch the system off.

Gday mate,

The funny thing is on this system, is that I cant locate the pressure switch... in the Haynes manual it says its ontop of the reciever drier, but there is none to be seen...

Yes the system is aftermarket. So I have no ideas where the fuses are located....

Thanks for your help,

Cheers

Gday folks,

Thanks smiley smoke for your offer. I think a wiring diagram for a drover would be similar to that of a sierra? I think that would help. Thanks for your offer mate,

Cheers
