Heya Fella's

I am still here floating around

Just reworking my indicators and I am trying to remove the steering column shroud - the plastic part around the ignition barell.

I have got the other side off (the side closer the passenger side) but the drivers side half doesn't want to come off around the Ignition barell.

Now - as the plastic is pretty old and i don't want to pressure it too much - how exactly is is meant to come off??

Any help is appreciated - i am trying to get to the indicator stalk.

Cheers

there was one bolt holdint the 2 peices together and it appeared that with out that bolt the cases would just slide off not sure will have a look tomoro for you

just a question you would be chance know where i could get a new indicator switch thing the part that the stick connects to lol

mine some times doesnt stay on or go on if im turning left

Actually - mine feels like it is all corroded (i know its not) but it doesnt work properly - so i am just gonna mount a small 3-way toggle switch on teh dash to replace the stalk - so i don't use the stalk for the indicators - not sure whether i will keep it there for the high-beam yet or not.

I have undone all the bolts / screws - but the plastic seems to be stuck around the ignition barrell??

Who has to get an RWC every year???? Definately not QLD!!!

That would be absolutely fu*ked! Couldnt deal with that idea, pls state all states that enforce this fu*ked law so I never move there!! Spose it would be NSW and VIC the police states? Why anyone would wanna live down south is beyond me :D

They woulda loved my 180sx lol When I sold that thing i had to pay a little bit extra for the "bodgeworthy" service heheh

Ok - now i have p!ssed you off by letting you know I didn't need to get a RWC to buy my car, and don't need to do RWC every year for rego - how do i get the steering column shroud off?? hahaha

If i get pulled over and get a "Defect Notice" then i may be in trouble - but until then - who cares.
